The Rookery is a quiet, low-density community located adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. It is very popular with families due to the great amenities such as two pools, a covered gazebo, hot tub, tennis courts, a community grilling area with picnic tables, and nearby world class golf courses. The beach is just a short walk or drive from the beach house. It is very hard to find this combination of price, size, and amenities! You are far enough away from the hustle and bustle to appreciate the tranquility of the area, but still close enough to enjoy all the great attractions and restaurants that Gulf Shores has to offer!!
The cottage is furnished with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second features a king size bed, and the third bedroom has a full size bed. There is also a full size sofa in the living area that can be used for additional sleeping area if necessary. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, and ice maker. Unit also has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Three streaming smart TVs are in the unit with new fiber internet, perfect for your entertainment.
The Rookery was designed to be a quiet resort located adjacent to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. You can play games outside with the kids, bird watch, or walk the trail to Mobile Bay. Explore one of the Bon Secour marked trails with your family located nearby. Historic Fort Morgan is only six miles away, or take the ferry to Dauphin Island and visit Fort Gains or the Sea Estuary. There are two championship golf courses within a couple of miles, without the traffic or crowds. A short drive into Gulf Shores and you can visit Waterville, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, or The Track, offering amusement park rides and arcade games. Numerous restaurants also await you. Drive up to Foley and visit the Tanger Outlet, a large outlet mall. A marina, boat dock, and local restaurants are nearby. Tennis rackets and beach supplies are provided for your convenience.
Any reservations made prior to October 1st for the Winter Season (January and February) require a 60 day (two month) minimum. Reservations made that do not meet this criteria are subject to cancellation by management. After October 1st, reservations may be made for the winter months at a minimum of three or seven nights, depending on unit specifications.

Parking Passes are required and may be purchased upon arrival or by contacting our office directly. You must purchase each parking pass. You can have only 2 parking passes per reservation. 2 cars maximum.
Linens are provided however, please bring your own beach towels
The reservation includes a "starter set" of hand soap, 1 roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, 1 trash bag per trash can, and 1 roll of paper towels.
