Your Dreams Come True, Starting NOW!
It’s been a long day, traveling across the miles via plane, automobile, maybe even train, and there have been delays, poor food, and cramped quarters, but as you stand outside the front door of your Orange Beach Christmas retreat, everything negative will be forgotten. And when the door opens? Your vacation dream come true begins now! Step inside and feel the Poole & Associates difference immediately, welcoming you inside and wishing you the merriest of Christmases. Our rentals in Orange Beach are divided between homes and condos, beachfront and close to the beach, and although any of the properties will give you the soft place to land that you need for this holiday away from home, for the white sand Christmas you have been dreaming of, we can almost guarantee that the space you walk into will sit on the edges of our white sand beaches, allowing you and your family to celebrate whenever you like!
Unwrapping Your Best Gift
A tour of our Orange Beach spaces will feel like you are unwrapping the best gift of all, and as you start exploring the living room, you can already see the possibilities of Christmas. Maybe you will set a small decorated tree on the end table next to that soft sofa, providing a place in which you can stack all the packages waiting to be opened on December 25th. The state of the art televisions we offer may not generally get used all that much, as guests are often too busy and then too tired, but at Christmas, we can practically guarantee that you will find yourself in this spacious and cozy room watching the classic holiday movies you love as well as the new Hallmark Christmas movies that are your guilty pleasure. And although we are talking about Christmas movies, did you know that Hallmark once released a spring movie that was filmed in nearby Gulf Shores? Titled Spring Breakthrough it was a beachy romp that ended with the guy getting the girl, of course!
The Family Moments You Will Never Forget
Open concept floor plans have us walking a few steps to the dining room area of the property, offering the spot where many of your family moments will take place during your noel visit to Alabama. Listen closely and you will hear the echoes of all the families who have come before you, exclaiming over the delicious meal, laughing at family stories and groaning over dad jokes, and if you listen even closer you will hear the triumphant cries of the winner of games that are played here. Following suit, your families voices and laughter will join in the echoes for future travelers to listen to and whether you are dining on a Christmas feast handmade in the kitchen or are just using the space to play the boardgames you found stacked in the cabinets, the moments that take place here will be the headline acts in your highlight reel of memories!
Cheerful Vibes
The kitchens are the spaces that travelers have the most complicated relationships with, as tired moms (or dads) are looking for a break from meal chores, and with all the delicious restaurants in the area, it can just be easier to eat out every meal. (Every year is different, of course, but historically, Duck’s Diner, located at 4560 Easy Street, has been open on Christmas Day.) If family traditions are important to you, however, and you do decide to prepare the Christmas feast, updated appliances, stone countertops, and a cheerful vibe will make the time you spend creating your family’s favorite dishes a part of the Christmas magic. High-speed internet will allow easy streaming of Christmas music stations, or you may be able to watch the Christmas movie playing on the large screen television in the living room across the way!
The One Night You Won’t Sleep Deep
Generally, this paragraph is the one in which we wax poetic about the deep and uninterrupted sleep you will have every night of your stay, but the reality is on one night, the most important night that is Christmas Eve, we would be lying if we said that, especially for our guests traveling with children. Christmas traditions rarely change, and the one where parents stay up late, putting together complicated toys, wrapping the last-minute gifts they couldn’t resist buying, and perhaps sharing a glass of wine before dropping exhaustedly into bed is one you may keep on vacation. If you could sleep late, it wouldn’t be such a big deal, but Christmas Day looms bright and early, and your excited children will be jumping on your bed before the sky has turned pink from the sunrise, begging to open their gifts. Who can say no to those darling faces and sparkling eyes? Obviously not you, so being thankful for the coffee maker in the kitchen, you and your favorite traveling partner will be climbing out of bed not so long after you climbed in! All other nights, however, will be restful and filled with happy dreams; you just need to make it through this one!
Holiday Traditions You Will Love
Just because you have traveled many miles to the warmer days and tranquil beaches of Orange Beach, it doesn’t mean you have to give up all your holiday traditions, but it could mean you pick up a few new ones. Those Hallmark Movies we were discussing earlier always have that one obligatory scene where the couple glides around an outdoor ice rink, holding hands with hands that are gloved against the chill, and drinking hot cocoa, and although we can’t provide the snow, the Wharf Shopping Center offers an outdoor ice rink and a hot cocoa stand to help you stay warm while gliding around the rink, one that opens in November and lasts through New Year’s. The Wharf is also where Santa’s House is located and because your kids would not be happy if this was the year they did not enjoy a meet and greet with St. Nick, a visit to the Wharf should probably be placed high on your holiday to do list!
