Veterans Day Rentals in the Gulf Shores Area
Your first decision will be the type of vacation property that you need. Smaller traveling groups may want to choose our condos, costing less but providing all the same amenities as the larger standalone homes as the communities in which they are located in offer their own list of amenities. And although you may think that a hotel room may be cheaper for the two of you, we can tell you that when you factor in meals, amenities, and lack of parking and resort fees, you will more than likely spend noticeably less and experience noticeably more when you choose a Poole & Associates condo for your Veterans Day rental. Below, we will talk about all our condos offer, inviting you to explore your options while making your plans.
Beachfront Is Best
Your veteran has worked hard his or her entire life, and one of our favorite ways of thanking veterans for their service is by providing relaxing beachfront condos for their vacationing pleasure. Our beachfront retreats ensure you never have to be out of sight of white sand beaches and blue waters, offering the opportunity to sit out on balconies perched over same, sipping your favorite beverages, and watching the sun drop into the sea. The serenity that accompanies that large body of water is reflected in our quiet spaces and no matter how you choose to fill your evening hours at home in our condos, you will probably notice you feel lighter, happier, and more relaxed than you have been in quite a while.
Community Amenities in Our Condos
November can be a bit chilly, but many of our condo community pools are heated, perhaps extending swim season out into November, but even if it is too cold for you to swim, chances are the sun will still be shining and sitting in the lounge chairs that surround the pool letting the sun warm skin, perhaps bringing a glow to your face that your friends will envy, will be one of your favorite adventures. The hot tubs that can sometimes be found out here will always be a popular amenity and you may find it difficult to get your wounded warrior to leave its bubbling depths. Some communities will offer sports courts, others may include elevators as an amenity, and still others will offer barbecue areas while also being pet friendly so that you don’t have to leave your fur child at home.
Welcome Home
Larger traveling parties may want to look into renting our standalone homes, or even our duplexes that that are spacious and warm. Offering all the room and a quiet and simple luxury that will make your veteran feel comfortable and at home, these spaces are filled with wonderful amenities as well. Fully equipped kitchens may entice you to create a meal, using high end appliances, stone countertops, and a heart of the home vibe that will tempt all who walk inside. Living rooms offer plush furnishings, sometimes including comfortable recliners and overstuffed chairs, all facing state of the art televisions where you can watch the big game or, as Veterans Day is close enough to Christmas, Hallmark holiday movies that we can’t help but watch as we start to get our festive on.
More Amenities to Love
It may still be too cold to swim, but our standalone homes may offer private pools surrounded by lawn chairs and they may be resting on the banks of rivers and lagoons, offering another type of water experience that will be enjoyed during your holiday adventures at home. Watching the sunset over the water from a patio chair on the deck will quiet the noises in your brain and bring a new appreciation of a sight you may see every day. Large, covered porches may be furnished with rocking chairs or porch swings, encouraging an evening spent doing absolutely nothing but chatting and falling in love with the beauty of Gulf Shores at night and as you watch the stars turn on one by one, lighting up the sky one twinkle at a time, you will know that this vacation was truly the best idea you’ve had all year.
Veterans Day Adventures in Gulf Shores
Your comfortable adventures at home in our Poole & Associates holiday hideaways are going to be ones you remember forever, but if you’re traveling with family, you will want to venture out into the towns just to see what’s happening. Many local restaurants will offer discounted or free meals for veterans and the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach offers a night of music and thankfulness to honor the Veterans. The historic Fort Morgan, a brick fort that has stood guard over Mobile Bay through four different wars, may be closed on Veterans Day, but should be open in the days before and after the holiday, offering a fitting activity to engage in during this patriotic time period.

FAQs About Our Vacation Rentals
-
My dad served our country in Vietnam, and he is having difficulty getting around, do all of your rentals offer stairs or are some all on one level?
Because of the storms that can hit this area, the majority of our properties, especially private homes, will be on multiple levels, but many of our condos do offer elevators, ensuring that your veteran won’t have to fight the stairs.
-
Will there be restaurants in the area offering free or discounted meals for veterans?
Having a military background here in the Gulf Shores area, we very much love and appreciate our veterans, so there will certainly be restaurants featuring either free or discounted meals for your veteran, including Wolf Bay restaurant, 24131 Perdido Beach Boulevard. Offering veterans and active duty military a free meal with ID proof, its Cajun inspired seafood menu will treat your veteran’s taste buds quite well.
-
We are celebrating Veterans Day and our parent’s 50th anniversary with a dream come true trip to the Gulf Shores area and would love to stay in a river retreat, instead of the standard ocean condo, is there anything like that being offered by Poole & Associates?
Although not that common, we do happen to offer some properties on the Daphne River featuring some extra luxurious amenities that will enhance your vacation experience.
-
Is there a specific Veterans Day event in the area?
We like to celebrate in the Gulf Shores area, and as such, there will be a number of Veterans Day events taking place, including the Tacky Jacks Operation Reconnect Jeep Raffle and a Veterans Day Tribute Concert which will be held at the Coastal Art Center of Orange Beach.
-
My husband and I are both retired veterans and think we want to spend the fall and winter months in Gulf Shores, do you offer long term rentals as well?
Many of our Veterans Day rentals require a longer stay in the winter months and all are capable of being rented for longer stays, as long as they are open for the time you want.
